Dear Jane, Trish and Elizabeth,
The puppy training we attended with Archie, our Welsh Terrier, was very helpful, not only for Archie but for ourselves! As you said at the Introduction Session, you train the owners as well as the dog! Archie has certainly calmed down a lot, and seems a lot more settled in himself over the last few weeks. As his first birthday approaches in October, we feel that he is well on the way to being a proper grown up!
Thank you very much indeed.

Whether you are a new dog owner or had dogs all your life, in my experience, you and your dog will benefit from attending Sheffield Dog Training. The training is well constructed, focusing on real life situations with a strong emphasis on safety.
Jane and her team have clearly met all types of dog situations and are happy to give advice. They go to a lot of trouble to help you feel at ease and progress at a pace to suit you and your dog. The training provides a collection of life skills with homework given each week to keep you and your dog focused but there is never any pressure. The training is fun and helps enormously to increase the bond between you and your dog.
I fully recommend Jane and her team to anyone who wants their dog to be a lovely companion and to enjoy life to the full.

Hello Jane, We are writing to let you know how very much we have enjoyed and benefitted from the two sets of training classes that we have attended this year. Quite apart from the fact that they have been a lot of fun they have been enormously helpful to us and we feel that Chiltie has made a huge amount of progress over the sessions.
What we have liked particularly is that the lessons have been focussed on real life situations, they have been clearly structured and each lesson has built on what has gone before, creating a collection of life skills that will keep us all safe and happy for the years to come. You and your team have been so helpful and understanding and it has been such a pleasant environment to work in.
Thank you all very much indeed: we wish you every success for the future. With our very best wishes
Janet and Shaun Snow
Jane, I just want to thank you for filled with guidance, tips, friendship and fun!! Oscar and I (plus Tom) have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and despite having had cocker spaniels in the past have learnt so much in your classes, very necessary as Oscar is by far the most energetic and playful of all three dogs and we are so much older! Keep up the good work and many thanks to you,
Trish and Elizabeth, Pam, Tom and Oscar
Jane is a fantastic dog trainer and clearly loves dogs. I've been to her puppy and intermediate classes with my boy Morse, where we did the Kennel Club GCDS Bronze award, and we are now attending advanced classes. Jane uses effective, positive, reward based methods of training so the dogs learn because they enjoy it and want to, which is hugely important to me. Jane (and Elizabeth and Trish, her helpers) are both knowledgeable and patient (with me as well as my dog!), and make sure I am doing things right, and at the right pace for my dog. I have confidence in all of them, and have no hesitation in recommending Jane's classes.

Our experience of Janeís dog training classes has been excellent. From the introductory meeting Jane helped allay our fears through her very down to earth approach and sense of humour which then ran through the entire training programme. So when we took Rosie our puppy, the following week, we felt at ease which in turn considerably helped when we began the training. Puppies are sensitive creatures who react very easily to the moods of their owners. The training was fun and Jane showed no favouritism choosing all the puppies over the course of the weeks to demonstrate particular exercises. Individual support was readily given by Jane and her wonderful team of helpers. We were never made to feel stupid if either us or our puppy didnít manage the activity very well. Janeís whole approach was relaxed which enabled us to further bond with our puppy and she with us. Homework was given each week, usually further practice of that eveningís exercises to further cement the training. Advice for situations such as surviving bonfire night and Christmas were shared and no question was ever deemed too small or silly to ask.
We heartily recommend Janeís puppy training classes to anyone starting out with a canine companion; definitely fantastic value for money.
Best wishes, Liz, Phil and Rosie
Hi Jane, Just to say a big thank you for all of your help, advice (and funny stories!) we have all enjoyed every minute of the training with you and the other trainers and our two gorgeous puppies have grown into well behaved and well socialised adults who can confidently now move into the agility which they enjoy so much I always recommend you to others whenever I am asked and will continue to do so. Hope to see you at agility some time.

Jane is very caring and patient with all the puppies and realises they are all different, as are their owners! She demonstrates what you have to do with different puppies in the class and has helpers to make sure you are doing things the right way. All the puppies in the class react really well to her as she always has very tasty treats to entice them to do what she wants them to do! Our black lab puppy Pearl is boisterous and sometimes wonít do exactly as she should and what I like about Jane is that she doesnít stress about it and puts you at ease so that you donít stress either and make the puppies worse! We all get comprehensive homework sheets to continue our training at home.
Jane also talks to us about how to take care of our puppies such as grooming and examining their ears and paws which is really useful if you are a new dog owner. We also have a 5 year old Golden retriever who went to Janeís puppy training classes and she loved the agility activities on the intermediate training so when we got Pearl there was only one place we wanted to go back to train Pearl and that was with Jane. Thanks Jane

Recently my six month old springer spaniel and I attended an eight week beginners course and a very pleasant experience it was too. The classes were well structured with clear and simple instructions and the trainers very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced with infinite patience and a good sense of humour.
Homework was given each week requiring just a few minutes work two or three times a day. In these sessions I could see my pup developing confidence in new skills every day. The next week we had pleasure of demonstrating our progress in class as well as opportunity of discussing any problems. For me these classes enhanced the delight of bringing a new puppy into my family. We are now waiting to start in the intermediate class.

We've just got back from our third training session with William and I just wanted to say how impressed we are with the training. The instructors are great; they're supportive, positive and the explanations of what to do and why are really clear. People are often quick to complain but slow to compliment so I wanted to say we're really enjoying the sessions and learning a great deal.

Jane immediately made us feel welcome and at ease and Annie progressed really well under Jane's guidance so much so she passed her Bronze Certificate and is now attending the agility course. Annie is now doing really well in agility after just 4 weeks and again there is no pressure just excellent training and good fun.
Jane makes everything seem so natural and there is no pressure at all either on the dog owners or on their dogs, everything is done at the right pace so there is no stress involved.
I would thoroughly recommend Jane to anyone wanting a dog trainer either for puppies or older dogs.
